In 2025, we continue building the La Trinxera Climàtica del Casc Antic!

La Trinxera Climàtica del Casc Antic (The Climatic Trench of Barcelona’s Old Town) is a long-term project carried out jointly by Col·lectiu Punt 6, Caixa d’Eines i Feines, and Luciferases, with the participation of the Federation of entities of the Casal de Barri Pou de la Figuera, within the Climate Grants of the City Council of Barcelona.

The aim of the project is to share knowledge and strategies on climate change from a feminist, community, and neighborhood perspective. During 2024, three discussions and a workshop were held on climate emergency, climate change, health and gender inequalities, alternative economies, and a day of experimentation in Pou de la Figuera square.

An exploratory tour on food sovereignty in the neighborhood was also carried out, along with a community mapping in the square where the climate change issues and climate shelters in the neighborhood were identified.

This year, we will continue with the activities to complete the analysis and diagnosis, and we will keep working on the construction of this trench, expanding the spaces of resistance that can serve as climatic, community, and care refuges for the neighbors.
