In collaboration with: Cooperacció

This material forms part of the project ‘Experiences of feminist empowerment of women and dissident identities in defence of the rights, knowledge and collective sovereignties that sustain life, from a North-South perspective’, which we have developed jointly with Cooperacció and Colectivo Punto 6 with the support of a grant from the Catalan Agency for Cooperation 2022.
The project has carried out three participatory assessments exploring the role of women and dissident identities in defending the right to food from an ecofeminist perspective in three regions of Catalonia: Tarragona, Lleida and Barcelona. The participation of local feminist organisations has enabled the creation of a space for reflection, advocacy and mobilisation to build, from the defence of the right to food, a proposal for feminist food sovereignty, placing care at the centre of all processes within the local-global food chain. The main methodology we have used to carry out these assessments has been exploratory visits with local organisations.
